AREAS OF EXPERTISE

Some Things to Know About Stress

Stress is a very subjective experience.

It’s  considered to be any physical, mental or emotional factor that causes physical or mental tension.

The cause of the stress, known as a stressor, can lead to the triggering of the stress response.

We are all under high levels of stress these days, so the stress response is triggering way too often.

This repeated triggering of the stress response causes a lot of physical and psychological damage.

Now think about your career and the incredibly high levels of stress you experience on a daily basis.

You’re experiencing these negative consequences of the repeated stress response even more often than the average person.

This makes it even more important that you access Online Therapy to learn Ultra High Stress Management so you can live your Optimized Life – Contact me now to start.

Some Things to Know About Anxiety

Many of us experience anxiety at some point in our lives, after all, it’s the most common mental health issue in the United States – anxiety affects about 40 million American adults each year. 1

For most people, it’s a situational reaction to something that is perceived as stressful or dangerous.

If you don’t struggle with anxiety, this perceived threat will go away.

However, if you have anxiety, this feeling of being in danger remains when there is no “real” danger present, but for you this danger is real.

If you’re struggling with anxiety, then you know exactly what I’m talking about.

Just about anything can trigger anxiety, e.g. public speaking, having a deadline, social situations, money issues, conflict in a relationship, being stuck in traffic, etc.

It can be difficult to know if the anxiety you’re experiencing is a typical part of life or related to an anxiety problem.

Typically, anxiety related problems feature excessive worry, feeling nervous or fear that is ongoing, excessive and has a negative impact on a person’s ability to function in day to day life.

It’s important to remember that anxiety is subjective, only you will know what you’re truly feeling.

Anxiety is a highly treatable issue, yet less than 40% of the people that have anxiety receive treatment. 1

Don’t be part of the over 60% of Americans that don’t get treatment.

If anxiety is interfering with your life – whatever that looks like to you – then start Online Therapy – please contact me now so you can start living your Optimized Life.

Some Things to Know About Depression

We all feel down at times. This is a natural way to experience things in life like the loss of a loved one, the stresses of life or when something happens we don’t like.

Depression is very common, over 16 million adults in the United States had at least one depressive episode in their life. 1

If you’re feeling intense sadness, feeling down, or feeling miserable and it’s just not going away, you may be experiencing depression.

Although we all get “down in the dumps,” this is typically not the same as depression.

The definition of clinical depression is when these feelings of sadness last at least two weeks, and you feel this sadness most of the day every day.

This feeling of depression often causes problems in a person’s day-to-day life. One study showed that 80% of adults with depression reported at least some difficulty with work, home and social activities due to their depression. 2

There are many factors that can trigger the onset of depression, including the end of a relationship, loss of employment, the death of a loved one, being socially isolated or being diagnosed with a significant illness.

Often depression can just start all on its own without any known cause.

The vast majority of people (typically 80%) that seek treatment for depression will receive relief. Unfortunately, 66% of people don’t seek treatment. 3

Don’t be a part of the two-thirds of Americans that don’t get treatment.
